Book description
What would it be like to have a real home?

It was a question Sheila seldom asked herself—she had never had one. She had been a transient, comfortable in some places and the opposite in others. It hadn't mattered very much.

But since coming to Baron Island as holiday hostess she found herself thinking about it. Or perhaps it was Grant Madison, the owner, who had unsettled her.

Sheila couldn't deny her love for him—but the great, aloof Grant saw her only as a troublesome employee!
Sheila did not have a home and had never had one. She had been comfortable in some places and the opposite in others, and it had not mattered very much.

She was transient, a bird of passage, but she was not quite so sure about it when she took a holiday hostess job at Baron Island, where she met Carl - and Grant.
