The Last Days of Dogtown by Anita Diamont; read a few years ago I am reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, The Last Days of Dogtown, and November 22, 1963. I just finished The Cove by Catherine Coulter. I need to start reading The Last Days of Dogtown for book club and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time for an online challenge.

I was expecting to like this one, but somehow I just could not get into The Last Days of Dogtown. It was one of the very very few books I've started and not finished. The Last Days of Dogtown by Anita Diamant

I picked this one up because I loved Diamant's The Red Tent. I wasn't disappointed. She has written about a small town in the 1800's which is populated by widows and dogs and not much else. Every character is so well written, that you feel ... Just finished The Household Guide to Dying which I loved and am about to start The Last Days of Dogtown.

War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk 9 - The Last Days of Dogtown by Anita Diamant (I really like Diamant's work. She seems to be a bit of a love her or hate her author. Her character construction is great, and I became quite emotionally involved in this story because of it. I have Good Harbor on the to-read list, so I'm looking ... ... conversations around here. I adore Austen, I really do, but yes...the mood thing has to strike.

And am almost finished God is Not Grea ... I have been sick and just read 3 books in 3 days - Good Grief by Lolly Winston, The Itch by Benilde Little and The Last Days of Dogtown by Anita Diamant. Really enjoyed the latter, the other two were good quick reads.

(which I was enjoying) but set it aside to finish listening to Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander series) I recently finished Last Days in Dogtown by Anita Diamant narrated by Kate Nelligen and enjoyed it very much.
