burnit99's review
Carol Danvers, new director of S.H.I.E.L.D., decides to solve her Spider-Man problem by insisting that he take super-hero lessons from her veterans, Iron Man and Captain America. Gwen Stacy breaks up with Peter, very amicably so, and J. Jonah Jameson, who was saved by Spider-Man and now knows his secret, tells Peter Parker he will do whatever he can to help him. And, thankfully, Peter and Mary Jane become an item again. This is an exceptional book for the dialogue and character exploration, not that the action is anything shabby. A lot of very nice closure here, in preparation for the coming death of Spider-Man. ( )
