Strawberry Girl The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn Iggulden You know, I've heard a lot of criticism of the Daring Book for Girls as being a pale and very femmey comparison to The Dangerous Book for Boys, but really the fact that it's in the sewing and clothing category while the boys' version is in the encyclopedia category really says it all. ... that. I also redid our "staff picks" for HP picks, (Mrs. Weasley recommended Charmed Knits, Fred and George recommended The Dangerous Book for Boys, etc.) I had a blast setting it all up. ... if that's a peculiarity of the Canadian market, because I don't see it here in the UK. We have the likes of Nick Hornby and The Dangerous Book for Boys, and no one would accuse Ian McEwan, Sebastian Faulks or even (hack, spit) Martin Amis of writing women's fiction. Yes, you'll see plenty of ... ... others of his, but not the most infamous).
From my mum The Daring Book for Girls (because I was admiring her copy of The Dangerous Book for Boys), and Buying Your First Home by Cate Foster (probably quite self-explanatory). ... You'll get books that are or seem aimed at a specific gender (usually female, in my experience, but you do have that Dangerous Book for Boys nowadays; there's a book for girls too, but I forgot the title. ^-^; ) like the aforementioned Twilight or the Song of the Lioness quartet, but ... ... yet, but I got it from the library and it looks interesting. It's called The Devious Book for Cats. It's a parody of The Dangerous Book for Boys and The Daring Book for Girls. Check it out! ... included my blog link, so I'm guessing that's not good enough. Oh, well. One of my son's favorite book lately has been The Dangerous Book for Boys, so I was looking forward to reviewing this one. ... authors, and I'm finding that King deserves all the praise he gets. The man is an amazing author. I'm also dipping into the Dangerous Book for Boys and wishing I had a son or a little brother or something to do some of the activities with. Its a great book. I usually have a few going at once. I've got about five going at the moment, Insomnia, the Dangerous Book for Boys, a History of God, Under the Banner of Heaven, and a ER book, Mindfulness and the Art of Change which is turning out to be completely different from what I expected. I recently saw it in an airport bookstore and thought it might be cute for my nephew who is entering either third or fourth grade (I know, I'm a bad auntie for not knowing which one!). Any ... ... I just ordered The Dangerous Book for Boys and a 30th-anniversary book about the 4-3-74 tornado that went through Louisville, Kentucky.
