The compilation itself is excellent, spanning the time from the Epistle of Barnabas all the way to Bede. The comments range in depth from citation to basic commentary to advanced commentary, and a wide group of patristic authors are referenced, including the "Syriac fathers."
The comments themselves are quite interesting, demonstrating the early Christian focus on the Christological and allegorical understanding of the text. A worthy reference to help understand the history of interpretation of Isaiah 1-39. ( )
