This book can be used for 2nd or 3rd graders. The content and illustrations definitely play a part in learning about a plant's life cycle. The reading level for this book is perfect for 2nd or 3rd grade that they can read it individually or it can be read aloud. Instead of illustrations, actual photographs are used to demonstrate the realism of a sunflower field. Kids this age will be able to understand the photos and be able to picture what a sunflower field really looks like. ( )
