This is a really great story of a family and their struggle to move west and make a home. This story is told from a child’s point of view. In this book the environment is different and take a while to get use to be the family works together and grows to like their new home.

Good description of American history.

1. Write a paper over what you would in a wagon if you had to move.
2. Make a covered wagon.
