This is the third book in the Matt Richter series by Waggoner. I really continue to enjoy this series and was sad to see that this was the last book released in this series (most likely because of Angry Robot publishing shutting down).

After solving a particularly strange case in an alternate dimension, Matt and Devona end up joining up with a new character named Shamika and trying to unravel the mystery behind a whole bunch of magic users who have gone missing.

This series continues to remind me a lot of Simon Green’s Nightside series. There are a lot of wacky and zany things in the Nekropolis and I continue to enjoy the creativity and unpredictability of it all.

Things were really picking up in this series and I was incredibly disappointed to find out that this was the last book released in the series. I just enjoy the quirkiness and humor so much in these books and would love to read more about this world and these characters

Overall this was a great continuation of the Matt Richter series. This series is a wonderful blend of mystery, urban fantasy, horror, and humor. I was very disappointed to see this was the last book in the series. I would definitely recommend to fans of Simon Green’s Nightside series. ( )

I was reluctant to start this series, as I tend not to like books about zombies, but I am so glad I did! This third book in the series, which I received as part of the goodreads giveaway, lives up to the standard set by the first two. It is humorous, has plenty of action, and, of course, has the requisite mystery. But do be aware that it is a little dark. Don't, however, let that drive you away, either. Do yourself a favor and read this series. You won't regret it; I didn't. ( )
