Without the .5 book before clarifying things I would not have finished this book. I think this story has a lot of plot holes, but I'm willing to read on and see if they are filled in as the series concludes. ( )

This book saddens me, because ive been an avid follower of this series and have enjoyed the books thus far. However lost in time was dreadfully boring, i coukdnt even finish it, it bored me to tears. Such a shame too, but alas it was time for this series to end. ( )

It had been a while since I had read the last book in the Blue Blood series. When I picked up this new book I was immediatley swept into this novel. Chapter by chapter it drew me in more and I finished the book in one afternoon. Something I havenlt done in a long time! I can not wait for the final novel in this series coming out later this year. Ahhh. I really love these books. I know these aren't like the highest quality of literature but I get sucked into the world and I love the whole vampire/angel angle. I'm really sad there is only 1 more book left. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends though. ( )

This was an overly complicated version of the Christian theology-based vampire fantasy. As book 6 in the series, I certainly missed 5 books of story jumping in at this one, but the amount of backstory, and the way it was provided in this novel bogged down the actual plot of this book. The world-building seems pretty complicated, a system of magic and a history that are as complex as in series many thousands of pages longer, so perhaps it seems so complicated in part because so much is being crammed into so few pages.
As a romp through a vampire-infested world with sword battles, daring escapes, and a few not-too-steamy sex scenes, this book isn't bad, but it was not the best I've read from this subgenre. ( )

Book description
The young Blue Bloods of Manhattan descend upon Egypt in Lost in Time, the epic sixth book in Melissa de la Cruz's New York Times and USA Today best-selling Blue Bloods series.

After their beautiful yet brief bonding ceremony in Italy, Schuyler Van Alen and Jack Force are forced to separate. To fulfill the Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler travels to Alexandria to search for Catherine of Siena and the Gate of Promise. But Schuyler quickly discovers that everything she believed about the Gate to be wrong. Meanwhile, Jack makes the difficult decision to return to New York to face his twin and former bondmate, Mimi. But instead of a bitter reunion, he is faced with a choice for which there is no good option.

Mimi, with a most unexpected travel companion in Oliver Hazard-Perry, jets off to Egypt, too, to search for Kingsley Martin, her long lost love. With all roads leading to Hell, Mimi learns that not all love stories have happy endings. But she'll have to put her own feelings aside if she's going to save her crumbling Coven.
