This book offers a wonder - ful introduction to time zones and cul - tures around the world. During a more in-depth review, students will gain a beginning understanding of continents and countries.

This book is perfect for a lesson in geography and for introducing kids to the concept of time zones. This is a fun and interactive book to have at home or in the classroom and can be read to/ by children starting at a very young age (4 and up would grasp the concept)

A look at what's happening in different parts of the world in the same moment. A good book for introducing children to the concept of time zones. ( )

Time zones may be a difficult concept for little ones, but with the help of While You Are Sleeping, it may be a bit easier. In this story two times zones are compared. While a little boy is waking up in his bed, a little girl may be coming home from school. A clock is shown at both locations so that the reader can compare the time difference. This story would be great for interdisciplinary studies because it ties in math with the difference in time, social students with the different places around the world, and science with the reason for why the times are different.
