Percy's pov was the only thing that kept me going through this book. Well, that and wanting to be done with it. What made me lower the star rating was 1. The sexism. The Amazons were driving me crazy "we don't hate men, we just want them to know their place" The men are literally slaves. Also, why does Rick give the witty retorts to the guys (mostly) in all of the books? And why are the girls always jealous of other females?? Like Frank says a harpy is smart and Hazel glares at him. They aren't a couple or anything, but her crush dared say a harpy was smart and so she's mad at him. Also, why is kissing someone on the cheek such a thing for Rick?? Like he uses it to show progression in a relationship, but there are so many other ways. Anyway, yeah the treatment of girls bothered me. 2. This book was so slow. I was so tired of it. Like, it's so much time, especially with no percabeth content. what is this. 3. All the characters felt so bland. 4. Because it isn't set with Camp Half Blood and the Greek gods as a base and Percy has no memory, there is so much set up and world building and it's exhausting. There was so other stuff that bothered me, but I'm not spending any more time on this book. no reviews | add a review
