I liked how it showed the reader into his past, and present. This is definitely a must have if you like the rest of the House of Night series by P.C. Cast. This story provided the backgroun for Dragon Lankfield and Anastasia. It was OK, and it was nice to be in the House of Night universe again. However, the plot was very thin, and the whole story was just a filler until the next HoN book comes out.
Dragon used to be a loving man, but Anastasia's death made him bitter and vengeful. He won't even listen to his own inner voice, nor Nyx, nor even Anastasia's voice in order to try to make things right this time. (
