___, Politicians, US. Pres. — CIA — quick/good

It's a gorgeous autumn day in Georgetown. The Democratic candidates for president and vice president of the United States are dutifully glad-handing voters and the media outside a grand estate where a national security conference has just been held, bringing together the world's greatest minds to discuss the issues that are threatening the country. It's American politicking at its best. That's when all hell breaks loose.

Another decent read in the series..Nothing really changes here too much from the usual. Unlike others, Characters are those we've known for the first six books of the series. Plot, also similar. I especially enjoyed the novice liberal politicos who asked that Mitch's perpetrator be tried in a court of law...only to find out that there's no usable evidence against him. Unlike others, I enjoyed the ending.. ( )

Mitch Rapp is involved in locating and eliminating individuals who conspired to blow up the President elect's motorcade. Rather than killing the President or the Vice President elect, the wife of the President elect and a Secret Service agent are killed. It is determined that several of the conspirators are located within the transition government. The book is entertaining and is typical of other series type works. ( )
