They were not, technically, a series of course. They also did Justin Morgan had a Horse, Misty of Chincoteague ... King of the Wind and Misty of Chincoteague.
There is just something about a 10 year old girl and a horse. I never owned one, but I wanted one so badly, and read every horse book I could get my grubby paws on. These two were some of the first i ever read, and I remember them with a great ... oh, I loved King of the Wind!

I started with the books of hers that I had read as a child (I am desperately seeking, still, an A copy of King of the Wind, which was actually my favorite). One of my clearest memories of reading her books (and I must have been about 8 years old) is flipping through the Album ... ... ones that haven't been used is hard (or is that even part of the game?) I've only got two, and they're both 'wind'.

Snow by Tracy Lynn ... the opposite problem. The first few chapters were slow going, but I was well rewarded by the rest of the book. I bought King of the Wind, but haven't read it yet, so I don't know how that will stand up to the rest of the books. And you know my view of Misty's Twilight.
I personally can't ... ... packed up in boxes that I haven't gotten around to unpacking/putting on LibraryThing yet--a couple of the 'Misty' books, King of the Wind, Justin Morgan Had a Horse, Black Gold--hey even if she wasn't my favorite horse writer, if it was a book about horses, I probably have a copy!
