While it may at one time have been an incredible compendium of gardening odds and ends - it was first published in the 1940s - it's been mostly superseded by newer books that survey plants and flowers consistently, and perhaps especially by internet search functions that allow much faster access to a grab bag of information much larger than what this book can hold. This book is arranged by subject matter of the questions, including questions about individual species. But whether any specific question is in the book -- such as how to propagate a certain species, or the hardiness of a given perennial - seems entirely random. It's like reading the forums at an online gardening bulletin board, but without a convenient search function. ( )no reviews | add a review
