Oh good god, what a piece of crap! I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this book and it turns out that my expectations were too high. It's an almost verbatim translation of the scripts from Season 7 marred by poor grammar, atrocious spelling and other crimes against the English language. I was sorely tempted to throw this book in a corner after about 2 chapters, but I was stuck on an airplane and had nothing else to read. The only thing this tragedy is suitable for is starting a campfire. ( )

So awful! I mean, so true to Season 7, and in that sense, wonderful, but so awful! Full of typos, and just poorly written (except the dialogue, of course). True blue Buffy fans will love this, but anyone else should steer clear. ( )

Had always been a Buffy aka Sarah Michelle Gellar fan so wow, a book featuring the entire season 7, which is also the final season of Buffy *sob.

I read it in parallel while watching the series LOL..and the book kept to the dialogue and scenes, almost word for word. The season was great, so the book's great too. Only thing is there are some very obvious typos so I guess nobody proof-read it first before printing. ( )

This book compiles all of Buffy's season 7 (the final season) into one big tome. The earlier episodes get a bit of a short shrift, but the final eps, where the battle against the Big Bad Villain reaches its climax, are fun to read. The only real drawback is that the book appears to have been rushed to print with no almost editing, since distracting spelling and punctuation errors abound. ( )

This is a solid novelisation of the seventh series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Each chapter tells the story of one episode of the TV series.

I read this just after watching the TV shows it covers, and it is very faithful to the broadcast dialogue and events. The additional material is mostly interpretive descriptions of characters expressions, or slight extra detail of characters thoughts at a specific moment. It didn't add hugely to my understanding of the characters or events.

Oh, and the editing is appalling. ( )

BIGGEST BADDEST BUFFY OF THEM ALL

The First has come to Sunnydale and set its sights on taking down the Slayer. On the side of the White Hats: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Anya, Dawn, Giles, Spike, Faith, Angel, and an assortment of young, innocent, untried Potentials.

In this season-spanning storyline, Buffy Summers will learn about the primeval origins of her own strength, and have the opportunity to train those would succeed her. And as the forces of evil find their way back to the Hellmouth -- where it all began -- the Slayer will uncover what being the Chosen One is all about: Power.

"She's laid down her life -- literally -- to protect the people around her. This girl has died, two times, and she's still standing. You're scared, that's smart. You got questions, you should. But you doubt her motive, you think Buffy is about the kill...then you take the little bus to battle. I've see her heart -- this time not literally -- and I'll tell you right now she cares more about your lives than you will ever know. You gotta trust her. She's earned it." -- Xander, "Dirty Girls"
