For someone who never rode a school bus, this is my favorite easy book of the semester. The book tells a story of a first grade boy who is about to go on a new adventure which is taking the school bus. Kyle was afraid of what could happen during his first ride and what made his worries even worse are his older words and the list of rules he listed for him. However, Kyle found out that none of these rules matter, as he broke all of them and had a great first bus ride. This will be a great book to read during a read aloud session. It teaches both children and adults that we need to face new experiences with an opened mind and not be afraid of them. ( )

His older brother is walking him to the bus stop for the very first time. Riding the bus is not as easy as it seems. There are 10 rules to follow in order to survive the school bus, but there is an extra rule in the end that will surprise you.
I would read this to all grades to have a fun read and to introduce lists. ( )

This book is about a young boy who has to ride the bus for the first time. Although he is not alone his older brother gives him a list of rules to help him survive the school bus. Soon he finds himself breaking every single one of the rules. I believe his brother used the rules to scare him. This book was funny and entertaining. I would have my students create their own set of rules as a writing topic. ( )

This book is about a boy starting his first day of school but riding on the bus for the first time. While his brother gives him a list of things NOT to do on the bus this boy comes to realize he is breaking every rule on the bus from the list he was given by his brother. I think his brother was just trying to scare him. Does the little boy figure his way and finding his rules to follow on the bus or does he get in trouble? This is perfect for Kindergarten to 2nd grade. ( )

Every big brother tries to "help" their siblings get through their first days of school, this book is no different. In ths fun story, Kyle takes his brother's list of rules to survive the school bus but quickly catches himself breaking every single rule on the list. In the end, he realized his brother was just trying to scare him as siblings do. It was a fun book to read. ( )
