This was a Barnes & Noble Free Fridays selection back in September that I've just got around to reading. While it is book 7 in the series, the author provides enough back story that it's very easy to follow along. I love her writing style as well as the characters in the book. I would definitely be interested in going back and reading the previous 6 books in this series. ( )

Val Mcdermid has the talent to take you away, to take you to place thats dark and terrifying. she takes you in the mind of serial killers, their horrendous crimes and the people trying to catch them. Her story telling is intense and you love every minute of it.

This is yet another Tony Hill/Carol Jordan novel. Like the previous ones, it is amazing. I recommend reading all other novels as well. ( )

Epigraph
Nemesis is lame; but she is of colossal stature, like the gods, and sometimes, while her sword is not yet unsheathed, she stretches out her huge left arm and grasps her victim. The mighty hand is invisible, but the victim totters under the dire clutch.
