Loading... Writing History: A Guide for Studentsby William Kelleher Storey
None. This concise and accessible book provides solid advice on how to write professional history, from research to writing to revising. The book seems aimed at undergraduate history majors, but can be profitably reviewed at intervals by more seasoned historians, just as a refresher. The 1998 edition expresses an odd and dated distrust of the Internet ("The World Wide Web is full of garbage") and could have benefited from some discussion of protocols for using online facsimile editions and databases of transcribed records. ( )I highly recommend this book for any student of History. Storey outlines the important rules and structures of writing solid history essays. I wish I read this book in undergrad.
