The book reflects the story of the Jewish community, and how they gained their freedom through many years of struggle. The book shows the beginning of the first Chanukah celebration, and it shows that Jewish people have celebrated Chanukah around the world. The Jewish people were scattered around different places of the globe, and some of them celebrated Chanukah in the dessert, some celebrated in a boat, some in shtetls, and some celebrate in tenements. The book reflects the unity of the Jewish people, and their strength to continue celebrating the holiday. ( )

Simple text combines with amazing pop-ups to tell the story of Chanukah from its origins in the Temple throughout history and the world. A page for each night, including depictions of a ship and a skyscraper, will delight readers of all ages. ( )

I found this book very interesting because I am not Jewish and it was interesting to learn a little bit about the holiday. It was a good read but the pop out art in the book was the best part.
