Poet Luci Tapahonso and her co-authors present a wonderful guide to the ABCs that children of all cultures can enjoy. The color pencil illustrations in the copy I read are excellent, just a little more faded-looking than a book this vibrant needs.

Uses: A great book to help teach the ABCs as well as the traditions of Navajo culture. ( )

great way to teach children ABC's and expose them to a different culture. Nice pictures to help discribe what each one of the words means. ( )

Lovely pastel drawings of everyday life in the Navajo culture. I've been interested ever since I read my first Tony Hillerman book. This picture book uses simple English and Navajo words to go through the alphabet. A short foreword and a glossary of pronunciation lend context. ( )
