Essays. Family & Relationships. Nonfiction. Humor (Nonfiction.) HTML:With her disarming, intimate, completely accessible voice, and dry sense of humor, Nora Ephron shares with us her ups and downs in I FEEL BAD ABOUT MY NECK, a candid, hilarious look at women who are getting older and dealing with the tribulations of maintenance, menopause, empty nests, and life itself.
The woman who brought us When Harry Met Sally . . . discusses everythingâ??from how much she hates her purse to how much time she spends attempting to stop the clock: the hair dye, the treadmill, the lotions and creams that promise to slow the aging process but never do. Oh, and she canâ??t stand the way her neck looks. But her dermatologist tells her thereâ??s no quick fix for that.

Warm, self effacing and funny. Took a couple chapters to catch my ear but then I was able to just settle in and smile. Her problems are definitely not my problems but the humor pulls you in and you feel like it is your life. ( )

This is a fantastic book. I felt the author in myself to be kindred souls, and I wanted to have lunch with her to just talk stuff over but unfortunately she died of cancer. ( )

Soooooooo complainy and negative. I’m her age and I found it boring, not funny, not witty. I had expected more from such a well known writer. ( )

While I couldn't relate to the specific obsessions that Nora Ephron had about her appearance, the chapters related to food/cooking (even though I admit I am a good cook), and death (the last chapter, sob) really spoke to me. I can't believe she's dead.
