I read this as slowly as I could, wanting to savor it. This story hit really close to home, I cried 3 or 4 times. Travis and Abby are just perfect together, they are both a little screwed up, but right for each other. Overall enjoyment! Overall I really enjoyed this book. The pace was relatively moderate and even though it had 300 something pages, I felt like I flew through it rather quickly. I enjoy Travis’s character so much, his stubbornness, relentless attitude was captivating in a way that was very relatable and real. I liked Abbys character but at times she annoyed me with her indecisiveness when it came to Travis. Clearly their chemistry was electric and it reminds me of my own relationship to a certain degree. I’m excited to read the second book and learn about Abby and Travis journey together and learn more about their past and families. I gave this a 3 star (3.5 if it would let me) rating mainly because it didn’t have near as much world building as I prefer but it’s also not my typical go to genre (fantasy) but I was not disappointed. I’ll be picking up the second book later tonight! Overall, well done Jamie McGuire ! This book is fantastic, the chemistry, the hate and the passion all builds up to climatic outcome between two people who outright hate each other....to be with anyone else. always a good read to go back to when lost for something that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. granted the final chapters were a little err... ridiculous and stupid but the rest of the story keeps you turning pages with anticipation and 'Hah! served you right' moments. no reviews | add a review

HTML:Now a major motion picture! The "deliciously intense" (USA TODAY) New York Times bestselling phenomenon follows a good girl drawn to a very bad boy... The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn't drink or swear and has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. With the darkness of her past behind her, she believes her freshman year at college is the start of a new beginning. But then she meets Travis Maddox. Lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand is exactly what Abby needs to avoid. Intrigued by her resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in his apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match in this "beautifully sexy, beautifully intense, and beautifully perfect" (Jessica Park, New York Times bestselling author). My favorite scenes/parts were the basement fire and vegas situation with Benny. These were the scenes that really got my heart racing and my fingers turning pages faster. ( )
