Denny dumped Becca when he headed off to war. Now he's back in Virgin River, so Becca invites herself to the men only hunting vacation, determined to show Denny that her heart isn't broken. But the weekend doesn't go as planned - she breaks her leg and is laid up in Virgin River for a few weeks, in the company of Denny. Back stories of the town and setting up characters for the next book make is interesting. ( )

Bring Me Home for Christmas by Robyn Carr was great, and although I read it way out of order (it is #16 in the Virgin River series), I was still able to enjoy it, and didn't feel like there were many spoilers. The heroine, Becca, was a little annoying in the beginning, but really grew on me. I now plan to start at the beginning of the series and work my way through. ( )

Wonderful Christmas story where the plot, action, romance, everything was good. I was totally drawn into Virgin River and its spirit of community especially during the holidays. Teacher Becca wants to resolve unfinished business with her past love Denny before she commits to her new boyfriend.

Book description
This year, Becca Timm knows the number one item on her Christmas wish list—getting over Denny Cutler. Three years ago, Denny broke her heart before heading off to war. It's time she got over her silly college relationship and moved on.

So she takes matters into her own hands and heads up to Virgin River, the rugged little mountain town that Denny calls home, as an uninvited guest on her brother's men-only hunting weekend. But when an accident turns her impromptu visit into an extended stay, Becca finds herself stranded in Virgin River. With Denny. In very close quarters.

As the power of Christmas envelops the little town, Becca discovers that the boy she once loved has become a strong and confident man. And the most delicious Christmas present she can imagine.
