Kids like to read bout other kids doing bad things or behaving badly or being grumpy. That is why this is a really good idea for an ABC book, a fun theme that I am sure is popular with the kids, and a good amount of vocabulary words can be found in this book! Words such as stumbling, tumbling weeping. The rhyming is really effective as well. And there is a good ending to all the huffing and puffing and mishaps. An apology, that is always a good thing!

In another unique approach to the alphabet, Bottner uses kids names to correspond with each letter. Through this 'annoying' tale, we make it to the end of the alphabet where the only thing left to do, is to apologize. ( )

This is a great way to introduce letters - by making them relevant to our names. I would use this book with pre-school age children or early elementary. We could go through the alphabet and figure out whose name starts with which letter.

This book was awesome! The words were silly, interesting, challenging, and original. This is more than an ABC book it is about learning new words that start with certain letters. Children love gross and silly and annoying. They will for sure love this book along with the illustrations. I can't wait to use this book in a classroom.

This is a book full of an annoying actions and students from every letter of the alphabet. Kids end up apologizing to all of their friends whose names also start with every letter of the alphabet. Kids will like interacting with the letters of the alphabet. ( )
