The second in a series of three books featuring two ghosts. In the previous book 'Brief Candles' James and Charles Latimer died during the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 and were buried in a small village in France. When it becomes necessary they rise once more and in helpful mode assist members of their family. These are no awful spirits however, these are ghosts who are well-bred and act with old-fashioned courtesy to all. All that is apart from those who cross their friends and relatives. The very substantial ghosts will then disappear and appear at will, together with their monkey Ulysses and create mayhem for all concerned.
A rare treat for anyone who likes their ghosts to be funny rather than fearsome. To be read in strict order for maximum fun. ( )
