Blood Lite is an anthology of light horror stories. Many of the stories use humor to temper the horror aspects of the story. The collection includes some stories that take place in popular series, such as The Dresden Files and The Women of the Underworld, as well as stories by lesser known authors. Although I am a fan of short story anthologies, there were only one or two in this anthology that I really liked. My favorite story was "Hell in a Handbasket" by Lucien Soulban where the Angel, Haniel, plays a practical joke on the demons in Hell. For most of the book, though, I found myself wondering when the story was going to be over, which isn't a good sign when they are so short to begin with. ( )

This anthology showcases just how varied and quirky humourous, or light-hearted, horror can be. Of course, some stories are better than others, but it's worth a read. I thought the bear story was just plain nasty though. ( )

Brandon read it cover to cover. He likes short stories. I read the ones by Kelley Armstrong, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Jim Butcher. There was a fourth I think it was Dan A. He did a really good story on Elvis. Totally worth reading just for that story! Really like Kelley's and Jim's that add a little bit to both their worlds they both have. Sherrilyn, I remember I read it but nothing stands out a couple days later. Like her Dark Hunter stories though. ( )

I just had the hardest time getting through this book ! I found many of the stories so uninteresting. Even my favorite author Charlaine Harris, disappointed me with her input. They were just too "lite." ( )
