I have a Heritage Press 1964 copy of The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells, illustrated by Joe Mugnaini. The Sandglass mentioned that JM has done 3 previous HP books. Can anyone tell me which are they? Or any subsequent ones?

I tend to agree with about Wells. I find him a bit dry but I sometimes I reckon that it works in his favour. War of the Worlds I felt was quite nicely understated :)

The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells

I finished Dr Moreau last week, Carolyn, and definitely agree with you. I enjoyed this one quite a bit more than Wells's The War of the Worlds which I had read earlier this year. It was fast-paced, exciting and inventive. Like you, I also enjoyed debating in my mind the moral issues that the play ...
