What a gorgeous book. The pictures are very clear at showing the different kinds of leaves and having a verse of the song that goes with the leaves. It leaves you off at a easy conversation about what kind of trees they have in their yards. This book is appropriate for pre-k- 3rd grade.

Points out details of color and shape for a nice variety of kinds of trees (tulip, gingko, sweet gum, linden). Some comparisons are livelier than others (Sassafras leaves look like dinosaur tracks vs. maple leaves are colorful). Obviously this was written to be sung to the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus" and I'm of two minds about it--I do love singing books, but writing out all the repeated phrases makes this a little awkward to just plain old read out loud.
