This is a story about 4 bunnys, All of them are sweet and nice except one - Grumblebunny. He cannot be nice about anything and just wants to stay home in bed. When the four rabbits venture out, they run into a wolf that tries to cook them! The 3 sweet rabbits are complimenting everything about the predicament they're in ("we never get water this steamy back home") while Grumblebunny tries to explain that they are in danger. When the wolf tastes the soup, he says it's sour! Grumblebunny convinces the others to "play a game" by pretending to be the grumpiest bunnies around that sour any soup. Eventually, the wolf sets them free and they return home.

I thought this book was very cute! The illustrations are wonderful and the story is an enjoyable read. ( )

Preschool-Grade 3-Cuddlemop, Sweetsnuffle, and Pretty are the most optimistic rabbits on Misty Mountain Meadow, and their cousin Grumblebunny is the grumpiest. When Bad Wolf Peter stuffs them all in his "snack sack," the three optimistic thinkers praise his cozy bag, as Grumble bunny starts to get suspicious of what is happening. The three happy bunnies even love the swim in his stew pot and think it is so leisurely. Only Grumble bunny realizes this is not a good situation and they are in danger. And thanks to Grumble bunnies grumpiness he talks his way out of getting eaten along with his three happy cousins. Back in the meadow, the sweet bunnies remain oblivious about their near death experience thinking it was a fun game with the wolf, and they want to go play again tomorrow. The illustrations are really creative and cute. Revealing to the reader how happily naive the three happy bunnies are verses Grumble bunny who is gloomy looking and just a touch smarter and tuned into reality. ( )

Meet Grumblebunny, the grumbliest rabbit on Misty Mountain Meadow, and his three super-sweet cousins, Cuddlemop, Sweetsnuffle, and Pretty. Everything is just lovely to these sweet rabbits: Even when Bad Wolf Peter snatches up all four bunnies for his soup, Cuddlemop, Sweetsnuffle, and Pretty look on the bright side-they simply adore the warm, steamy water in the soup pot. But Grumblebunny knows that being grumbly will get them out of the soup. Can he convince the other rabbits to toughen up and play along?
