Linnette, The Lioness is the second novella in The Real Duchesses of London series. Linnette is the Dowager Duchess of Doveshire and has been running the estate since her husband’s death four years ago. Now James has returned from Canada to become the new Duke of Doveshire and he plans to rekindle the love they shared before Linnette’s marriage and his departure for Canada.

Linnette is still angry with James for running off to Canada and to make matters worse gossip abounds that she is pregnant with his child. Despite her anger, Linnette is still attracted to James but feels that society will cast them out if she allows their relationship to go forward. Can she forgive and find happiness with the only man she has loved?

Great beachy type read. Loved the characters and the intrigue going on behind the scene. Looking forward to the next one in the series. ( )
