Fast read that captures the fact that golf is hard. Even if you dedicate everything to it, golf is hard. ( )

Really grabbed me with his all-out attempt to pass Q-School. Trailed off when it became obvious that the author wasn't actually any kind of contender.

I have never in my life played a day of golf, but through his witty prose and undeniable self-efacement, Tom Coyne manages to draw the reader in so that we not only care about his PGA handicap and his girlfriend, but also whether he has an open or closed clubface. This is a book designed to keep your interest and does so admirably. ( )
