This is my AP chem text book and it does a relatively good job of explaining things. The large number of diagrams and sample problems is really useful. The language ("changanese" can be difficult to decipher, but well worth it. ( )

This was my textbook in college. It does a good job of introducing chemistry to undergraduates. There are also lots of good examples. ( )
