Este libro es una excelente introducción a la arqueología de la antigua Roma, siguiendo la historia de diversas secciones romanas desde la antigüedad hasta la edad media. Me impresionó sobre todo el templo de Júpiter Optimo Máximo en el Capitolio, del cual sólo quedan los cimientos (grandes piedras), que pude contemplar en el Museo Capitolino: muy emocionante saber que esas piedras han estado ahí por los últimos 2500 años! ( )
