"Is It Far To Zanzibar?" is a collection of poems that describes the lives and culture of the people in Tanzania. By matching the poems so brilliantly, the illustrations express the world of Tanzania in a way that extends way beyond words. ( )

This book of poems is about an African country and telling people to go to Zanzibar to see the certain kinds of nuts, peppers, plants, ants and describes everything they will have to past to get to the food. It includes vocabulary from the African culture. This book was alright and a pretty good read. ( )

This book contains a collection of poems which tells about a journey to a far away place. Good book! Appropriate for grades 2-4. We can have the kids write short poems.
