This is one of my most beautiful and precious books. I saw a tatty but expensive copy in an Indian shop and was so pleased when I found a new hardback at half the price. Each medicinal plant is illustrated by a specially commissioned painting by a number of Indian artists, some in the Moghul miniature style, exquisite in colour and detail. ( )
