Like the title suggests, The Shapes Game is a book about shapes. On each page, there is the name of a shape on the bottom of the page. The words on the page and the pictures depict real-world representations of the shapes. For example, "I spy a bright kite dancing in the breeze." The kite shape is a diamond. I would not use this book in my classroom. The illustrations are dated and I could find a better book to use to teach about shapes. ( )

This is a great book about shapes. It uses cute riddles and brightly colored shapes and allows children to name and find all the different shapes throughout the book. ( )
