Genre: This is a poetry book (lullaby). The book contains a lullaby about a mother bat putting her baby bat to sleep. If it were not for the lullaby this book would be a realistic fiction book because all it would be about is bats. Because there is a lullaby though this story is a poetry book.

Age: primary

Media: Pastel

Use: 1. Use as a introduction to different types of poetry (this one would be lullaby). 2. have students write a lullaby about one of their favorite animals ( )

I think this would be a good book for a read aloud in a kindergarten room. The illustrations in this book are awesome! This book has a nice poetic feel to it. ( )
