A not very exciting issue. Allen Steele's "The Observation Post" is the best of a weak set of stories. ( )I knew that there would be a dud issue at some stage and this appears to be it. In previous editions there have been one or two stand-out short stories even in issues where the longer stories are uninteresting, but none of the stories in this issue really grabbed me. There were a couple of stories that I couldn’t finish, a couple that left a sour taste in my mouth and the rest were rather blah. A rather forgettable issue. A very poor issue at 2.94. Melton's Shadow Angel is decent and inventive, however. Asimov's 428 : THE OBSERVATION POST - Allen M.
