Book description
Alliston's autobiography covers 22 years of service in the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy. He commenced as a naval cadet with the Royal Navy in 1927. He took command of his first ship, HMS Decoy in June 1941 and was later awarded a DSO for his work as Commander of HMAS Warramunga in the Philippines campaign. During WWII he also saw action in and around the Red Sea, the Mediterranean and the Pacific.
