A valuable book, in that crocodiles aren't cute or awesome like pandas or polar bears and so lots of people don't realize that they need protection, too. But I know that if I were to have read it to my children, we would have been frustrated by the lack of any 'dragon' reference as promised by the title, and by the lack of explanation of *why* they're hunted. And the text was kind of dry & would come out mostly monotone as read aloud, at least by me. So, to be frank, I just wasn't all the impressed. ( )

I happened upon this children's book at the public library, and I'm glad I checked it out. It shared interesting facts about the crocodile, with really nice illustrations to acccompany the text. ( )
