This book is an excellent resource for helping children explore nature which includes both planned experiments and guidelines for doing observations indoors and outdoors. The experiments include clearly illustrated, step by step instructions. There are also instructions to create a "nature museum" of collections (of rocks and shells for instance) and a "nature diary" of observations with writing, pictures, and objects, such as pressed flowers. There are tons of great lesson ideas in here, especially related to plants. ( )
