I love this series. There's so much rich historical detail, but at the same time the author manages to keep your attention thru each long book.
This one tells how the family is torn apart by the Civil War that is raging between the states. The family is sent all ways and have to find a way to survive the war together. A few tear jurker moments through out the book. ( )
