Sammy Keyes is at it again. I don't know if I don't like these as much as I used to because Sammy is growing up (Grams was sure upset about this in this book!) or because my own tastes are changing, but something is just different. I really think a lot of it has to do with Sammy dating, which is weird to me. But whatever! Danger and bodies abound in this Halloween mystery, and I enjoyed the bit of "not everyone's culture is the same as yours" lesson Sammy learned. Plus, skulls. Oh, and now Heather Acosta is super psycho apparently? And Danny is an awful human being, as we all sort of knew before. Anyway, not as good as when I remember reading them as a kid, but still pretty good. I will continue to read this series. ( )
