From A to Z each letter of the alphabet can stand for something that relates to Christmas.
"G is for the gifts that bring us delight. H is for the Holly with red berries bright." This book is written in rhyme. It is a short little book that includes are next to the pages with the words. This book also introduces new things and words about Christmas that children may not know such as quadrille, evergreens, exquisite, holly, and uproar. This is a book that may look simple to read, but once children began they might need some help. Which only means their vocabulary will improve by learning these new words. However, the rhymes are easy to pick out.

Rhyme Scheme:
*Each page has one stanza on it with an illustration next to it. ( )

Christmas ABC shows readers the ABC's with Christmas pictures. Every letter matches with a description of something from Christmas. This book helps children understand their ABC's in a fun and creative way for Christmastime.

This would be a good book for circle time during Christmas time. It goes through the alphabet and had a small sentence for each letter. It is not dull because the sentences rhyme. Each page either has a drawing or writing on it. But, the first letter is made of some of the painting shown on the opposite page. It was lengthy because it is an alphabet book but, the rhymes made it an easier read. Also, it includes classis Christmas words such as yuletide, holly, and evergreens. These would be good vocabulary to go over with the children. ( )

A is for Angel who graces the tree, B is for Bells that chime out in glee . . .

The pleasures and traditions of Christmas are celebrated anew in this family book, charmingly illustrated with turn-of-the-century lithographs from Austria's Wiener Werkstätte in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Now all of these popular images have been gathered into a lovely small gift book, its cover enhanced with "twinkling" foil candlelight. The rhyming text, based on "A Christmas Alphabet" by Carolyn Wells (1862-1942), recalls gentle Christmas memories that hark back to a simpler time. Published in association with The Metropolitan Museum of Art
