Review by: Shyla

I’m all for a romance story that has a good plot. But at times Lust Undone felt heavy on the story line and light on the romance. From the moment I read the first page I was bombarded with jargon and situations that overshadowed the romance of our heroine Sophia. It really stuck me as more of a thriller when I read it. The plot was fast paced, and kept you unsure what was around the corner! If you like police shows like Law and Order you’ll love this one.

Our heroine, Sophia is a woman on a mission. She’s been unable to rest since a Chupacabra murdered her nieces and nephews. This tragic event, introduced her to the world of the supernatural, and the Night Seekers. The Night Seekers are an organization that polices the things that go bump in the night. It’s their search of the elusive devil beast that lead her and her colleagues to Maine where she meets our hero Clint.

Clint is tall, dark, and handsome with an air of mystery added in for good measure. Known for his gruff manner and silent treatment, his attitude get a major overhaul when Sophia arrives. When a night of steamy sex in her hotel isn’t’ enough to sate his lust, Clint is surprised and excited about future prospects. He understands Sophia has a job to do, but he makes it clear they’re not done by a long shot. Have I mentioned that Clint is a shape shifter? Yes readers, that shocked me as well! Ms. Holt has plenty of tricks up her sleeves, and she’s not afraid to use them. The love scenes are downright decadent. Desiree can paint a vivid picture with the best of them. I just wished I’d felt more of an emotional connection with Sophia and Clint.
