I found this book to have very vivid pictures and fun writing. The scenario I think is one that a lot of kids with siblings can relate to, but I thought there might have been more time to make the message more clear as the older brother very abruptly changes his mind and you don't get to see how the little brother was effected by being left out. I did get to listen to the author explain his books though and his love for children's literature, and that warmed me to the book much more.

34 months - same great illustrations but just didn't capture out attention quite like Ladybug Girl. Not sure why. ( )

This book is the beginning of a new part of the Ladybug Girl series
starring Sam, Lulu’s friend from the playground. Bumblebee Boy has his own
adventures but needs the help of his younger brother Owen when he least
expects it when he faces a monster bigger than expected. ( )
