This book is about Marisol Mcdonald, she is a mixed child at her school and people bully her because she does not match, and she is different. In the then she learns that everyone is different and being different is good, I think this would be a good idea to use if you want to help younger students learn that being different is a great thing!

The story of a little girl who is very different from all of those around her. Trying to fit in with society norms.

I think this would be a great addition to my library as it reminds students a lesson that we need to accept and love everyone and anyone. It promotes students to be themselves, being confident and comfortable in their own skin and their decisions!

This is such a beautiful book! The story is about a young girl named Marisol McDonald who does not like to match and is so unique. She is a bilingual girl who has biracial parents. She has a wide imagination and likes to wear green polka dots with purple and yellow striped tights. I also really like how this book includes a Spanish translation on every other page as well as an English translation. This would be an amazing book to use for EL students to help them when learning English. I can't wait to have this book in my classroom! It would be great for intermediate students. ( )
