This not an ideal book for me because I can see only out of one eye, but the bugs do look very cool with the glasses. An awesome approach to an already popular subject. The book comes with 2 pairs of 3-D glasses, but libraries will want to have extras available if the book is circulated. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0811877728, Hardcover)

Life-sized bugs leap, fly, crawl, and buzz off the page! In this book, dozens of insects from fascinating fliers to creepy-crawlies spring to life in eye-popping phantogram 3-D. (Phantogram images are more vertical than regular 3-D, and appear to stand on the page.) Fun facts about the bugs habitats, life cycles, and eating habits complement stunning full-page images.

(retrieved from Amazon Thu, 12 Mar 2015 18:18:08 -0400)

Introduces 16 common insects, discussing what they eat, where they live, and their behaviors, in a text with three-dimensional pictures.
