After having her heart broken, Lily Carver ran north to manage an upscale resort—and back to her longtime friend Sam Denning. Though she's well aware of how hot Sam's become, she refuses to risk her heart again. No matter how incredible his kisses make her feel…
Sam's been in love—and lust—with Lily since the summer they met. When he finally shows her how much he wants her, Lily can't resist his seduction. But Sam's a forever kind of guy and she's only interested in short, painless relationships.
Lily thinks she can protect both their hearts with a short affair to let their passion run its course, something where they both know the rules and can explore the sparks between them without getting burned. But their best-laid plans are put to the test by their undeniable attraction—and by a secret Sam's been keeping from Lily that could ruin everything.
Overall I really enjoyed this book, the concept of best friends to lovers is a great one. The only issue I had was in the fact that if Sam and Lily are such close friends and have been for so long why didn't he know about her previous relationship? And with Lily I kind of wanted to say it's been 5 years get over it! lol Ms. Mady did a great job with the characters and I did love them and was glad they got their HEA. ( )

SOMETHING SO RIGHT, by Elyse Mady, is a romance and passion-packed story of letting go of the past and finding a place to belong. Lily Carver grew up wealthy but her best friend in the world Sam Denning was from the poorer part of town. Through the years they stayed in touch but the romance that planted its seed all those years ago is in full bloom after Lily divorces her abusive husband and Sam makes his intentions know. Lily doesn't want the perfect relationship Sam would offer so she propositions him for a short affair that makes both of their heads spin and leaves their future hanging in the balance.

I really enjoyed this book. Mady created dynamic characters that made you root for them until the very end. I really felt for Lily who had been severely messed up by her former husband. And Sam wove his way into my heart even more because he was extremely patient with her at her worst. The chemistry between these two was OUT OF CONTROL hot and steamy. Mady truly has a talent for creating awesome love scenes that play out very passionately.

Overall, this was a fantastic short read. Once you open it and experience the wonderful chemistry between Sam and Lily I guarantee you won't be able to stop reading!
